Early live cuts from the Peruvian collective Montibus Communitas, featuring what is perhaps the heaviest sound they've yet committed to tape! Dense percussive rituals with droning guitar and organ paint the beginnings of Catequil before the whole thing breaks down into an ecstatic, acoustic free-for-all not too dissimilar to some of the here-in-nature sounds captured on the legendary Swedish field recording collage Spela Sjalv. The two relatively short middle pieces, Verðandi and Hridaya, help bridge the proceedings with searing electric guitar lines and haunted vocal cries before the fifteen-minute Medhā salves our melt ed minds with a hearty stream of vibrating acoustic mountain drone.
- Portal Esquizofrenia
